Republican congressional candidate Vicky Hartzler has always been two steps from the coo-coo nest, but today she actually made public that she has gone insane.
Ok, not really. But close enough.
In a press release, Hartzler stated that Ike Skelton is weak on national security due to his support of liberal economic policies. This the very same week that Skelton brought billions to Missouri's military bases inside his Congressional district.
Skelton is one of those blue dog moderate Democrats that has always supported national security and military spending to the very end, even under President Bush. Obviously, Hartzler has no experience on national security matters. In fact, it may be safe to say that national security could be breached if Hartzler is elected Congresswoman. She has that less knowledge on issues of national security and the economy compared to Skelton.
We at the KC Blue Blog call on the Missouri Republican Party to public distance themselves from Vicky Hartzler after such comments. We also call on the press to hold Hartzler accountable for such ludacris statements. In these tough economic times, billions to our military bases locally, sparks a return in the economy that this state desperately needs. At this point Hartzler has become as credible as a pre-schooler when it comes to knowledge on issues facing this state and nation.

ReplyDelete"Hartzler Has Went Insane".....who talks like that, let alone writes?
ReplyDeletecoo-coo?
ReplyDeleteBut Skelton's not a Blue Dog. Look it up.
This lady has no chance. It's sad.
ReplyDeleteIt is a common experience all over the nation for Republican candidates to falsely claim that Democrats are weak on national security.
ReplyDeleteIt is the "BIG LIE" philosophy at work. Tell a really big lie and repeat it endlessly. Over time, the public will start to believe it because they do not have enough free time to learn the facts. This explains the widely believed, false the myths of the "liberal media" and that "Bush-Cheney kept us safe from terrorist attacks".
On my Democratic Talk Radio show, we believe in the "BIG TRUTH" tactic. We believe in discovering the real facts and repeat them endlessly.
Let the Republicans remain the "BIG LIE" Party and the Democrats can be the "BIG TRUTH" Party. The voters will eventually learn the difference!
In solidarity,

Couldn't have said it better Stephen.
ReplyDeleteOf course this is a blog and it's nice to hear differing points of view, but really (and c'mon)...ludacris??? Please take a look at Taylor Mali's youtube video on "What a teacher makes." I'm going to make you spell "ludicrous" a million times so you never misspell it again.
ReplyDeleteI live in the 4th district. I have read and agree with Vicky's comments. She is "spot on". Skelton has lost touch with the people and needs of our district.
ReplyDeleteVicky speaks the truth and is characterized as "insane". Unbelievable... I encourage you to view the following video of our stellar incumbent congressman Skelton in action.

A 4th district citizen
Illiterate morons who try scare tactics like claiming Hartzler's election could compromise national security are proof that Dems are scared. And the the Blue Blog is an awful piece of crap.
ReplyDeleteIke's connection with "The Family" is not something that should be overlooked.
ReplyDeleteI'm not buying the anon comments here. Looks like a campaign team has too much free time. I live in Hartzler's district and everyone thinks she sucks dude. Given your usage of "has gone" at the beginning of the post, it's clear you were putting humor in the title and I love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat really makes Vicky Hartzler a threat to national security is her mennonite believes.
ReplyDeleteThat's right, let's criticize the rest of Congress for their Billions of pork spending, but when it comes to spending it 'at home' its ok! The writer is the one who has lost touch with fiscal discipline. Most of the time it is not the military that asks for the 'pork spending' it is defense contractors. Vicky is right, we need discipline in spending and if that means we need to trim our 'local pork' then so be it. Our near bankrupt government is a much greater threat to National Security than electing a condidate who pledges to 'just say no'.
ReplyDeleteBut you misinterpreted what Vicky said. What she was saying was that Ike's support of liberal economic policies makes him weak on national security, i.e., the liberal economic policies will hinder our ability to support financially our military and security needs. She's not crazy or coo-coo. Liberals have a history of down sizing the military budget to support social programs.
ReplyDeleteJames scholz claimed Hartzler is a member of the Harrisonville mannonite congregation.. thus a pacifist... is that true? How can she support our Military & security if it is?
ReplyDeleteI live in the 4th district and have always supported Ike, but I have done my research and I have to say Vicky is right. The U.S.S.R. (Russia) collapsed financally trying to keep up with the USA during the Cold War. Now we are on the verge of a financal meltdown. The radical spending has got to end or we will never recover. All great nations have collapsed from within.
ReplyDeleteIke Skelton 2010 - He has earned our respect and deserves our vote!
ReplyDeleteGood for the 4th District
Good for Missouri
Good for our Country
Vicky Hartzler OPPOSED REENLISTMENT BONUSES FOR THE MISSOURI NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERS! Booooo!
ReplyDeletebut, she supports giving tax breaks for riding lawn mowers to golf courses! Booooo!
She does'nt think women should serve in uniform! Boooo!
-----
Congressman Skelton will have my vote!
He's a force to be dealt with on the House floor!
He looks after ALL his constituents and he fights hard for our active military and Vets!
Thank you Mr. Skelton .. We need more Ike's in this world!
I have read several comments concerning rep and dem and it's really a shame that the media will not report on other candidates that are running in the 4th district congressional race. Greg Cowan is the candidate for the Constitution Party. why not check their platform out and see if you think this candidate could be the one to make a real difference!
ReplyDeleteI think Vicky Hartzler should join the Marine Corps and be shipped out for a tour or two to Afghanistan and then see if she would like to support our military veterans!
ReplyDeleteIt's time for Ike to go, along with all the other incumbents. What this country really needs is term limits. We could solve a whole lot of our problems in Washington if our elected officials, weren't concerned with re election. Vote! out with the old in with the NEW!
ReplyDeleteamen to that term limits would stop a lot of the garbage that they throw at us the old buggers have to much power and if someone gets in with new and improved ideas they will not be heard
ReplyDeleteAgreed about the term limits. It's only when a candidate isn't concerned about being reelected that they do not let their votes be controlled by others. Although Ike Skelton suites our region well and I'd much prefer him over yet another "Big Lie" republican, no congressman should be in office that long.

Fortunately, enough folks saw through the phony charges, and we may now call her Congresswoman! Bob
ReplyDeleteIt does not matter how much experience Ike has if he only serves to support liberal ideals, regardless of the conseqences. Hopefully, Vicki will simply use common sense and not wear Whiteman on her sleeve.
